Firstly, all cabinet doors and drawers are removed and labeled. They are then taken off-site to be thoroughly cleaned, sanded, primed, and painted. All primer and paint are applied via one of two spraying methods: Airless or HVLP (high volume low pressure). Which system we use depends entirely on the situation and budget of each job. While the doors are worked on off-site, the cabinets inside of the kitchen get a similar prep process and depending on whether or not the insides are being painted, they are masked off with paper, tape, and plastic to ensure there is no overspray or dust inside your cabinets and on your glasses, dishes, etc. The cabinets are then painted via spray system and all prep is broken back down and cleaned up. On the last day of the job the doors and drawers are brought back to the job and hung back in their original positions. You then have a seemingly brand-new kitchen all put back together and it’s back to business!

Every job is different. For the average sized kitchen, we can typically say with confidence that you will regain full functionality of your kitchen within 4-5 days. So, for a Monday start, you can expect everything to be completed and reassembled by Thursday or Friday. There are occasions when we encounter unforeseen obstacles and, in those cases, you can figure on an extra day or two being added to the project.

Absolutely! There are instances when we have to say goodbye to a door or drawer that are just beyond repair. Although, we have been able to save many cabinet doors through our experiences on the job. Although we operated on a case-by-case basis, you can be sure that we’ll rehab what we can and always steer you towards the most sensible option that aligns with your situation.
